I had been getting social media suggestions for Chicago-style pizza and I told my husband, which got us both interested in finding a local place that offered it. After many Google searches and reviews, we decided to try out Gennaro's II, and it did not disappoint! The guy behind the counter (not sure if he was the owner or the chef) welcomed us as we entered and he figured out immediately that it was our first time there. He knew we were there for the Chicago-style pizza. He offered us a menu and let us look it over. There are tons of options for Chicago-style and thin-crust pizza, but we were there for the Deep Dish! We ordered the Meat Lovers and WOW it was delicious. I never thought I would eat pizza with a fork and a knife, but it was a whole different experience than New York-style pizza. The sauce was savory and the bacon was the star of the meats. The cheese had the perfect amount of stretch, we devoured almost two slices each. It was so delightful and the experience was awesome we will be back. Plus it is so close to the Philadelphia Premium Outlets, that anytime we head up there, this will probably be our new place to stop, beforehand. Edit: came back and tried the Cheesesteak Deep Dish and oh my was it delightful! We called ahead this time and it was hot and ready when we got there. The meat was tasty and the cheese pull was satisfying. Staff was amazing as ever. 100% recommend
Great quality food with very nice customer service, Ms Nowal and her manager are very down to earth people! The deep dish pizza here is very authentic, reminded me of Lou Malnati's pizza I had in Chicago seven years ago. Here at Gennaro's, we tried buffalo chicken option in deep dish and honey mustard chicken pizza in NY style. The veg stromboli by Gebnaro is perhaps the best I every had in my life, and the salad was also very fresh. We loved everything we tried and I would definitely come again. Highly recommend
I'm so glad I gave Gennaros a try and will definitely be a repeat customer! The deep dish is delicious, and super filling with the toppings stuffed exactly how I requested. The crust holds up extremely well without being burnt and it wasn't messy or super greasy. I really don't know how they do it... I think the price tag might throw some people, but the value is there and you will have leftovers! This is truly a pizza PIE!

We were visiting family in Limerick and needed a late lunch. So glad we found Gennaro’s II! The cheesesteak Chicago pizza was delicious (and hearty - plenty of left overs); we added a pepperoni and mushroom pizza to check out the thin crust. Both were outstanding! The staff was friendly and the service was fast. Highly recommend for both fine-in or take out!
As a native Chicagoan, I was super skeptical to try the “Chicago Pizza.” I have had pizza claiming to be like pizza from home in many places, and it has never measured up. I have to honestly say, this was close enough to order again soon! Not only that, but I noticed right away the lack of sugar in the sauce (healthier!) and the almost yeasty taste of the crust. After talking to the owner, Hakim, he confirmed the freshness of the ingredients. Not only that, he gave my dad a free Diet Coke. The pizza was delicious and next time I feel homesick for pizza from Chicago , I will return to Genaro’s 2!
We were passing through on our way back to the city & decided to stop here for lunch. We have a 4 year old with autism who gets a little rowdy in unfamiliar environments. We were met with exceptional service & the utmost patience for my little guy. We were even given fruit snacks to calm him down while we waited for our food. Food was a 10/10.
